Andy Robertson praises Mohamed Salah's conduct during Saudi Pro League transfer saga
Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has revealed that Mohamed Salah remained professional this summer amid speculation of a move to the Saudi Pro League. The Reds received a cash boost of around £52m by selling veteran midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Al Ettifaq and Al Ittihad respectively ahead of the new season, but held firm when the latter came calling for their star forward. 90min reported earlier this month that Saudi champions Al Ittihad were prepared to pay a world-record fee in order to land Salah, while they also believed the Egyptian was open to such a move. Liverpool, however, were not interested in parting ways with the 31-year-old and he stayed at Anfield beyond the Saudi Pro League's transfer deadline on September 7.
