Chelsea have recalled midfielder Cesare Casadei from his loan with Leicester City, with the 21-year-old expected to take a spot in Mauricio Pochettino's first-team squad for the remainder of the season. The Blues paid an initial £12m to sign Casadei from Inter in 2022 and, after sending him to Reading for the second half of last season, struck a deal to take the Italian to Championship heavyweights Leicester for the 2023/24 campaign. Anthony Martial is train ing away from the rest of the Manchester United squad amid concerns over his fitness level, according to a report. Martial has not played for United since the 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on 9 December after coming down with a sickness bug that has plagued the Old Trafford dressing room in recent weeks. While others who have been unwell have since returned, Martial's absence has remained a mystery and manager Erik ten Hag has offered very few details about his condition.
