Tottenham Hotspur are anticipating that Chelsea will show an interest in s igning Harry Kane this summer, sources have told 90min . Kane's contract at Spurs runs until 2024 and talks over a new one are on hold until the club appoint a permanent head coach. 90min has long reported that Tottenham are confident of securing the 29-year-old's long-term future and this remains the case. Sources have confirmed to 90min that while Tottenham have not been contacted by teams regarding Kane just yet, they are anticipating that Chelsea and Manchester United will at some point make their interest formally known. The Blues are on the verge of appointing Mauricio Pochettino, who played a huge role in Kane's development during his five-and-a-half years at Spurs, as their new head coach. Alonso warns Verstappen 'unbreakable' in surprise prediction

Image
Fernando Alonso has conceded he cannot see past an " unbreakable " Max Verstappen and Red Bull domination of F1 until new regulations are introduced in 2026. The Milton Keynes-based outfit secured both championships last season in commanding style and has shown no signs of slowing down this campaign, with Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez claiming each of the first three pole positions and victories. Asked if he was eager to take on Verstappen in on-track combat, Alonso - who has taken podiums in all three races and was Red Bull's nearest challenger in the opening two rounds of the season - warned such a battle was a distance away. "I am looking forward [to fighting Verstappen] because at the moment he is on the top of the Game . He is driving better than everyone else, he has the fastest car, everything is perfect," Alonso told select media, including TheFOXposts.Com . "So to beat that perfection, you need something really special and you

Arsenal's title run-in fixtures after costly Man City defeat

Image
Arsenal remain in the hunt for their first Premier League title in 19 years, but they'll have to battle through a tough end to the season and hope Manchester City slip-up for their dream to manifest into reality. It's been a sensational season for the Gunners off the back of a disappointing 2021/22 which ended in heartbreak at the last. While optimism was rife following an excellent summer transfer window and a productive pre-season, nobody expected them to give City this much of a challenge. The Mikel Arteta project, as Edu Gaspar projected, has finally taken off, and the sky seems to be the limit for this youthful Gunners squad. Nevertheless, a strong end to the season is required to retain the good feeling around the club and ensure they duel with City up until Matchday 38. Here are their remaining five fixtures of the 2022/23 Premier League season after losing to City at the Etihad. Man City predicted lineup vs Arsenal - Premier League

Manchester City will host the biggest Game of the 2022/23 Premier League season when title rivals Arsenal head to the Etihad on Wednesday. Pep Guardiola's in-form side are in control of their own destiny in the title race and a victory here would almost guarantee they'll get their hands on a trophy that most fans had given up on just a few months ago. Here's how the boss could set up to secure that win. Man City vs Arsenal - Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction Man City predicted lineup vs Arsenal (3-2-4-1) GK: Ederson - The stopper will be keen to stop his countryman, Gabriel Martinelli, from grabbing the goal he needs to break the record for most goals from a Brazilian in a Premier League season. CB: Manuel Akanji - It'll be Akanji who lines up directly against Martinelli. His agility could be key. CB: Ruben Dias - Dias is enjoying this unconventional formation and the added protection around him has led to a return of his best form. CB:

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Brentford - Premier League

Chelsea will look to snap their seven- Game winless run when Brentford head to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. The Blues haven't gone this long without a win since February 1995, when they actually made it to eight games without a victory. 21 members of the Blues first team weren't even alive at that point. An eighth consecutive match without a win would see this run become the third-worst in Chelsea's History in the Premier League era, so here's how Frank Lampard should set up to avoid that unwanted honour. Chelsea vs Brentford - Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction Chelsea predicted lineup vs Brentford (3-4-2-1) GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - Kepa's days as Chelsea starter may be numbered as the Blues look for an upgrade in goal this summer. CB: Wesley Fofana - Fofana must be a permanent starter at this point. With nothing to play for other than the sliver of pride Chelsea still have left, these next few fixtures should be about experience fo

Ex-Red Bull driver on Verstappen: He has everything he needs!

Image
Former Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat says Max Verstappen's sustained success at Red Bull in recent years stems from the team accommodating all of his needs. Verstappen has won the past two F1 Drivers' Championships and looks well-placed to add a third title in 2023, with Red Bull's RB19 proving the class of the field. But while Kvyat acknowledged Verstappen's undoubted talent, the Russian added that the World Champion has everything at Red Bull set up exactly as he wants. "Of course, you have to give [Verstappen] credit," Kvyat told the Track Limits podcast. "He's doing an amazing job. Very strong wheel-to-wheel, probably the strongest wheel-to-wheel. "But I think everyone's beatable in certain conditions, and the team has given him everything he needs, everything he wants." After dominating in 2022, Red Bull have eased to victory in the first three races of 2023, and Kvyat alluded to several other teams looking towards

'I hope so' - Moises Caicedo makes Arsenal Premier League title admission

Moises Caicedo says he hopes Arsenal win the Premier League this season and has revealed how he reacted to missing out on a January move to the Gunners. The Ecuador international has become one of the Premier League 's best midfielders during his time at the AMEX Stadium and was the subject of interest from Mikel Arteta's side during the winter window, even writing an open letter to the club's board asking to leave. However, Brighton dug their heels in and insisted he would not be sold. Caicedo has since been reintegrated into Roberto De Zerbi's squad and even signed a new contract. Arsenal instead swooped for Chelsea's Jorginho but recent draws to Liverpool and West Ham have dented their title bid. “I was really close to going,” Caicedo told The Telegraph . “I suffered a lot.” “I’m sure I'm going to have many more opportunities . That’s why I continue to do things well. [But] it was tough. At the beginning when I didn’t end up going, lots of people would make

Chelsea injury & suspension news ahead of Real Madrid Champions League quarter-final

While an obviously talented midfielder, Frank Lampard became one of his generation's best players thanks in no small part to an unwavering fitness level which he painstakingly honed over the years. Chelsea's record goalscorer got the call that he would be making his professional debut for West Ham while he was performing sprint exercises at the local park. Presumably, his father - Frank Lampard Snr., who was on the coaching staff and made the call - had grown weary of his son endlessly sprinting the length of his back garden in running spikes. Possessed by this maniacal work ethic, it's unsurprising that Lampard Jr. has not been impressed by the fitness of the Chelsea squad he recently inherited. Yet, with the second leg of a Champions League quarter- final fast approaching on Tuesday night, there is no time for the physical work which the team supposedly needs. In fact, there is barely enough time for Lampard to recover a gaggle of players that are not only falling short

Bukayo Saka breaks silence after Arsenal penalty miss

Forward Bukayo Saka has apologised to Arsenal fans for his penalty miss in the 2-2 draw with West Ham United on Sunday. The Gunners once again spurned a 2-0 lead this weekend - having done so at Anfield last Sunday in a 2-2 draw - having taken what looked like a commanding lead in the opening 10 minutes of the Game through Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus. Goals from Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen pegged Arsenal back at London Stadium, putting a huge dent in the club's title hopes in the process. As well as ruing the concession of two goals, Arsenal will also be ruing Saka's second half penalty miss. The star forward has been in stunning form all season, scoring 12 and bagging 10 assists in the league, but curled a spot kick wide of the post after Michail Antonio handled the ball in his own penalty area on Sunday afternoon. Read the latest Arsenal news here feed Saka has since taken to his personal Instagram account in order to apologies to Gunners' fans for said miss,
