Verstappen wants to race outside F1 in 'two or three years'
Max Verstappen has revealed that he hopes to take part in endurance racing, possibly in "two or three years", alongside father Jos.
The Dutchman is contracted to remain with the Red Bull F1 team until the end of 2028, meaning that he will be 31 years old by the time that his deal ends.
While the likes of Fernando Alonso have continued racing far beyond this age – with Alonso set to turn 42 in 2023 – Verstappen does not see himself staying in Formula 1 until that stage.
He would, however, like to try his hand at other categories of motorsport at some point in the future.
Verstappen reveals endurance racing hopes
When asked on Viaplay F1 Talks about the age he intends racing in F1 until, Verstappen said: "Definitely not [Alonso's age]! Not in Formula 1, who knows what else.
"But I definitely want to do endurance at some point. Maybe still a few more years, two or three years before I want to do that."
Verstappen is keen to compete in the category with 50-year-old father Jos.
"He's getting too old and I want to do it with him!" the two-time World Champion added.

Verstappen impressed by Alonso
While Verstappen is not keen on the idea of racing into his 40s like Alonso, he admires how motivated the Spaniard remains.
"He is fast and he's still very motivated," Verstappen explained.
"Every time I talk to him, it's like talking to a 30-year-old who is still in the middle of his career.
"He loves it. That's why he's doing it."
