Man City predicted lineup vs Arsenal - Premier League

Manchester City will host the biggest Game of the 2022/23 Premier League season when title rivals Arsenal head to the Etihad on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola's in-form side are in control of their own destiny in the title race and a victory here would almost guarantee they'll get their hands on a trophy that most fans had given up on just a few months ago.

Here's how the boss could set up to secure that win.

Man City predicted lineup vs Arsenal (3-2-4-1)

GK: Ederson - The stopper will be keen to stop his countryman, Gabriel Martinelli, from grabbing the goal he needs to break the record for most goals from a Brazilian in a Premier League season.

CB: Manuel Akanji - It'll be Akanji who lines up directly against Martinelli. His agility could be key.

CB: Ruben Dias - Dias is enjoying this unconventional formation and the added protection around him has led to a return of his best form.

CB: Aymeric Laporte - Nathan Ake is a doubt with a hamstring injury so expect Guardiola to turn back to Laporte.

DM: John Stones - Midfield physicality could be key in this one and Stones' inclusion will help City win that battle.

DM: Rodri - Rodri netted in both Premier League meetings with Arsenal last season but drew a blank in February's 3-1 victory.

RM: Riyad Mahrez - After a famous hat-trick in the FA Cup semi-final, it'll be hard for Guardiola to leave Mahrez out of this one.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - Gundogan's brilliance is starting to generate plenty of praise as City fans grow increasingly concerned that he could be on his way out this summer.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne - No club has conceded more goals to De Bruyne during his career than Arsenal, who have watched the Belgian wheel off in celebration no fewer than six times.

LM: Jack Grealish - Grealish is flying these days, boasting the kind of confidence players need for these big occasions.

ST: Erling Haaland - One goal for the 38-Game season record and three for the all-time honour. You wouldn't put it past him.
