The Cleveland Guardians will host the Minnesota Twins for Game two of their divisional series this Friday from Target Field. Minnesota used late-Game heroics to take Game one, 7-6.

Guardians Betting Preview

Cleveland moved to 25-31 after falling to Minnesota. The Guardians have won their last two series, but after dropping Game one, they face an uphill battle here with the Twins. The Cleveland offense is scoring 3.85 runs per Game, while batting .229, with a .304 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.78 ERA, with a 1.28 WHIP. Jose Ramirez has collected a hit in seven straight Games, and he leads Cleveland in batting (.277), with 30 RBI. Steven Kwan has recorded multiple hits in three of the last five Games, and he leads Cleveland in hits (58) and runs (35). Josh Naylor exploded for six RBI in the Game three victory over Baltimore to bring his team-lead to 40.

Aaron Civale (1-1, 2.84 ERA, 8 Ks) will get the call for Cleveland. The fifth-year pitcher will make his return from the designated list after missing nearly two months of action. Civale pitched well in his season debut in Seattle, before dropping his second start to the same Mariner team.

Twins Betting Preview

Minnesota moved to 30-27 after defeating Cleveland. The Twins came out strong in Game one, and they were finally able to win consecutive Games for the first time in three weeks. The Minnesota offense is scoring 3.7 runs per Game, while batting .233, with a .315 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 3.44 ERA, with a 1.18 WHIP. Donovan Solano plated for runs in the series finale win over Houston, and he’s the Twins leading hitter at .287. Jorge Polanco has collected a hit in eight of the last ten Games, and he’s currently batting .280.

Bailey Ober (3-2, 2.68 ERA, 37 Ks) will take the mound for Minnesota. The third-year pitcher dropped his last start against Toronto last week, despite striking out seven and allowing just two runs in five innings. Ober has been pretty solid this season despite losing his last two outings, and he delivered three quality starts prior to the minor skid.

Cleveland vs Minnesota Trends

Cleveland is 24-31 against the spread this season, with a 19-34-4 O/U record. Minnesota is 29-27 ATS this year, with a 24-29-3 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

Minnesota came through at home last night, and they have a good chance to double down here Friday. How Aaron Civale returns from his stint on the DL will go a long way in this one, and with Bailey Ober pitching reliable ball right now, I think he’s the arm to trust here this Friday. Watch out for the revenge factor here, but back Minnesota for Game two of this AL Central set.
